What repositories are exposing information about research data sets as Linked Data? Kind of depends on what you mean by Repository and Linked Data :-) |

Migrating a repository content to a different platform Can't help but be reminded of the saying: out of the frying pan into the fire. |

Is JPEG2000 really a good preservation format? Peter, yes that's another angle. I believe that the Aware license we have is per-CPU. |

Is JPEG2000 really a good preservation format? JP2 at scale for chroniclingamerica.loc.gov means ~60 tile and thumbnail requests/sec. I think paying the whole-file decode would be acceptable if it performed more like JPEG w/ a library like PIL, than JP2 implementation's like kakadu or jasper. Perhaps its time to take another look at OpenJPEG though. |

How to preserve old newspapers? I'm kind of curious how you know they are of historical significance. |

What aspects of authenticity should libraries and archives be attending to in digital preservation activities? That's kind of an expansive question :-) Maybe rather than asking how we "should" be thinking about authenticity it would be better to talk about examples of how we currently work with authenticity in digital preservation systems? |

Why doesn't Zotero import the language field from an article COinS? It's so sad to me that people still talk about COinS. But it's par for the course I suppose. |

How should archives decide between creating logical or forensic disk images of drives on computers accessioned as part of personal papers collections? Good point about the perspective of the donor. It does seem important for donors to understand and agree to forensic imaging of their donation. |
